Maharashtra Din     Why Maharashtra band  in 1 May  A " band " in India is a form of protest similar  to a general strike. It's a call for the general  public to abstain from work, for shops  to remain closed, and for public transport to halt. Political parties or  communities organize bandhs to  express their grievances or  to show solidarity for a particular cause.  However , the reason Maharashtra observes a  holiday (and not necessarily a band in  the sense of a protest-induced shutdown)  on May  1st is a significant one: Maharashtra Day:   May 1st is celebrated as Maharashtra Day (Maharashtra Din) every  year.   राम नवमी  हिंदू धर्म का एक महत्वपूर्ण त्योहार है, जो भगवान श्रीराम के जन्मोत्सव के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह त्योहार चैत्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी तिथि को आता है। इस दिन भक्त व्रत रखते हैं, रामायण का पाठ करते हैं और भगवान श्रीराम की पूजा- अर्चना करते हैं।   राम नवमी की कथा  त्रेता युग में अयोध्या के राजा दशरथ की तीन पत्नियाँ— कौशल्या ,  सुमित्रा और कैकेयी थीं, लेकिन उन्हें कोई संतान नहीं थी। उन्होंने  महर्षि वशिष्ठ के कहने पर श्रृंगी ऋषि से यज्ञ करवाया। यज्ञ के फलस्वरूप उन्हें पायस (खीर) प्राप्त हुई, जिसे तीनों रानियों में बाँट दिया गया।   इस पायस को खाने के बाद राजा दशरथ के घर चार पुत्रों का जन्म हुआ—   1. श्रीराम (कौशल्या के पुत्र)   2. लक्ष्मण (सुमित्रा के पुत्र)   3. भरत (कैकेयी के पुत्र)   4. शत्रुघ्न (सुमित्रा के पुत्र)   रामजी भगवान विष्णु के सातवें अवतार माने जाते हैं, जो धरती पर अधर्म और राक्षसों के नाश के लिए प्रकट हुए थे। उन्होंने रावण का वध कर धर्म की स्थापना की और अयोध...
